Antique Japanese Uchikake Wedding Kimono w/. For your consideration is this red antique kimono heavily embroidered with gold and silver threads forming a large phoenix across the back. The fabric represents shibori, a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique, where the material is twisted or bound, dyed, and then released to reveal the unique pattern. This kimono also has geometric shapes and pine to complement the shimmering beauty of the phoenix. There is a small area where the white color has faded on the bottom of a sleeve (photo #6), but it does not affect the overall allure of this uchikake.

A masterpiece in itself, this wedding kimono would be the perfect home decor if displayed on a wall or stand. Sleeve length: 41 inches (104 cm).
