Antique Japanese Cloisonné Box Meiji EXCEPTIONAL Fine Work c1868, Kyoto School

Wonderful antique Japanese cloisonné box with hinged lid from the Meiji Period, circa 1868, from the Kyoto school. I believe it was gilt bronze with wear to the gold gilt. The cloisonné work is meticulous and expertly done. The top has floral designs and well as other motifs. All the sides are also done in excellent cloisonné work including the bottom of the box, beautifully done. Please look over all the pictures.

The interior is enameled and the box rests on four feet. One of the nicest Japanese cloisonné boxes I have seen. It is 5 1/8" tall x 7 5/8" wide and 6 5/8 deep. We strive to be as accurate as possible in our descriptions of our items.

We also show pictures at each angle so you can view it in its entirety. There are times that we have to actually pay more than we charged... But that is our concern not yours. We pack very well as you can see by our feedback; however, there are times that the post office mishandles packages.
